Hi If an update is not installing or making your system unstable, I would remove the update and block it from installation. Step three worked for me perfectly.

Thank you. I have a new laptop one month usage that ran great until one of the updates. Then the freezing started and progressively got worse. I performed a reset prior to finding this thread. Many of the solutions offered online suggested altering the power settings and PCI settings.

My very new system seems to limit my ability to do many of these things, including changing the power settings. I have concerns that I also won't be able to pick and choose which updates I am able to install.

Is there any way the team at Microsoft can stop restricting users access to these things? How am I supposed to update my system and not go right back into the same problem. On behalf of college students and telecommuting professionals who do not have the luxury of downtime, please make these issues a top priority. Thank you for staying on top of this.
