The virtual machine has a 50 GB disk size and it is running Windows Server since December The WinSxS is consuming 15 GB of free. However, the C drive is saying it has MB free. After checking through all the files, it says the c:\windows folder is GB in size! but. Today I noticed that my Windows 7 folder size is about 50GB. Simply find the folders that are the largest (usually at the top of the list if sort by size ascending), and decide if they are needed or not, then remove them.
